The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport has over 33,000 Members, working in over 100 countries around the world.
Each year we ask them to share the Top 5 issues affecting them and their activities in Logistics & Transport. We collate and rank the results and present them at the Annual CILT International Convention.
Please submit your responses to bernard.auton@ciltinternational.org no later than Sunday 25th April.
An EGM of CILT was held on Wednesday 18th February at 6.00pm at Vernon Mews in London.
The attendees at the meeting, and all the proxy votes cast, unanimously voted to adopt proposed changes to the CILT Bye Laws. The new CILT Bye Laws have been submitted to the Privy Council for approval. The new CILT Bye Laws will come into effect as soon as that approval is granted, which we expect before the CILT International Convention in Malta.
As soon as the new CILT Bye Laws have been approved by the Privy Council, copies will be placed on the CILT website and sent to all CILT Territory Organisations and Branches.

International Journal of Logistics: Research & Applications publishes original and challenging work that has a clear applicability to the business world. As a result the journal concentrates on papers of an academic journal standard but aimed at the practitioner as much as the academic. High quality contributions are therefore welcomed from both academics and professionals working in the field of logistics and supply chain management. Papers should further our understanding of logistics and supply chain management and make a significant original contribution to knowledge. In this context the term 'logistics' is taken in its broadest context as "the management of processes, flow of materials and associated information along the entire supply chain, from raw materials through to the final user of the product".
